Contribute to the promotion and recovery of health and disease prevention, acting as a national reference for scientific and technological issues relating to quality control of products, environments and services linked to health surveillance.
Be recognized as a public institution of reference for scientific and technological issues relating to quality control of products, environments and services linked to health surveillance
Harpya is a web-based software for managing laboratory samples related to health surveillance. The system's cycle covers the entire process from the arrival and registration of the sample to the issuance of its analytical report.
Through the use of this information system, Health Surveillance Laboratories throughout the Brazilian territory can register and track the entire process of samples in their analytical units.
The system ensures traceability, monitoring, and management of sample flows and ongoing assays in laboratories with their respective statuses. It was developed at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation - Fiocruz, by the National Institute for Quality Control in Health - INCQS, a unit that works in the areas of metrology, research, and education, with a focus on laboratory activities related to quality control of inputs, products, environments, and services subject to the actions of Health Surveillance.
CHALLENGE
With a very small team, conducting all UX/UI processes was wonderful. In addition to delving into the institution's business, which was completely different from what I had experience with in the past. I also handled the front-end and was able to validate the prototype quickly.

The process
O Design Thinking is an iterative process, which means you can go back to any of the steps if necessary. It's a flexible approach that puts user needs at the center of the problem-solving process, which often results in more effective, customer-centric solutions.

CSD and Moscow
The feedback and the issues that arose during the discovery process helped us not only with new ideas but also with market research. The analyzed data were important for presenting to stakeholders for decision-making regarding how the market has evolved. There are researches that are not related to the business; the technological aspect is very important. The CSD matrix and Moscow (Moscow prioritization method) were important for defining priorities in the product's evolution.
Mapped personas
Currently, there are these 5 profiles in the system, but each persona can have its own characteristics. Throughout the journey, we can add new features and tests.
In addition to Nielsen's heuristics, when developing the UI, I aim to make clear the 8 golden rules by Ben Shneiderman.

RESULT
Accompanying the product through all stages is a very important foundation; all improvement implementations make a difference. Each step of the double diamond and validation was a successful phase for project definition
